AS predicted
John Stewart's second round net 56 was out of reach for those who competed
in the third round of the Sir Harry Hope Cup at Kingarth. Gordon Little
(16) led last Saturday's challenge, but he was five shots adrift of
the trophy winner. Little's better inward half edged David Bryden (9)
into second place on the day after both players finished on net 61.
Other leading
scorers were Duncan Keith (24) and David Cameron (5) 62, John Bunyan
(21) and Gordon Pettigrew (7) 64. The competition scratch score was
63.
The final
placings in the Sir Harry Hope Cup competition played over three rounds
with the best 18-hole score counting were: J. Stewart (27) 56, J. McAlister
(20) 59 bih, D. Cameron (6) 59.
KINGARTH'S
competitive programme continues tomorrow (Saturday) with the September
medal. The usual ballot will be held at the clubhouse at 8.30am.
