A LEVEL par
round of 68 gave club champion Donald Standaloft first place in last
Saturday's round of the Winter League at Kingarth. Birdies at the ninth,
eleventh and seventeenth helped the three-handicapper to a 39-points'
total and victory in the stableford competition. Standaloft finished
four shots clear of nearest challengers John Kernaghan (13), John Stewart
(22), and David Cameron (5), all on 35 points with John Bunyan (21)
one shot further adrift.
The league
table, with eight scores counting, is led by former winner Bobby Speirs
with a 306 total.
