BIRDIES
at the 17th and 18th gave George Cuthbertson a comfortable victory in
the first class section of the September medal at Kingarth on Saturday.
The 11-handicapper finished with net 61, three shots clear of David
Cameron (5) on 64, while Graham Connor (11) and Gordon Pettigrew (7)
were next with scores of 68. John Stewart continued his recent run of
success with a net 60 playing off 24 to take the top prize in second
class. Kenneth McDougall (16) and David Spencer (18) were his nearest
challengers on 66. The competition scratch score was 64.
A TOTAL of
18 players are eligible to contest the medal finals tomorrow for the
Robertson (first class) and Emslie (second class) medals.
