THE three leading players in Bute Golf Club's Winter League all improved their totals in the latest round at Kingarth last Saturday. Bobby Speirs (13) remains out in front on 310 points with Leonard Ferguson (17) on 307 and Gordon Little (16) on 299 after all three finished with 39 points. Best score of the day was returned by Bobby Gordon (21) on 40 points with a birdie three at the second for five points the highlight of his round.

The stableford competition with the best eight scores counting continues tomorrow (Saturday) with the usual ballot at the clubhouse at 8.30am.
