The 11-handicapper, who enjoys a nine-point lead in the stableford competition, is unlikely to be caught by the chasing pack. Ian McDougall leads the challenge closely followed by Bobby Speirs, David Bryden and possibly John Bunyan, but realistically they are all chasing the runner-up spot.
