GEORGE CUTHBERTSON
followed his previous week's success in the September medal by lifting
the prestigious Robertson Medal last Saturday at Kingarth. A net 63
gave the 10-handicapper a one-shot victory in the first class of the
medal finals competition. The in-form David Cameron (5) was runner-up
on 64 with David Bryden (9) four shots further adrift.
Leonard Ferguson
was also celebrating a double success on Saturday when he added the
Emslie Medal in second class to his earlier William Barclay Cup victory.
The 17-handicapper finished on net 64 with Bobby Speirs (13) runner-up
on 66 and Bobby Gordon (21) third with net 68. The competition scratch
score was 63.
KINGARTH
members compete in the annual Committee Prize Day tomorrow with the
usual ballot at 8.30am.
