A SECOND
round score of net 60 has given Gordon Little his first victory in the
Sir Harry Hope Cup competition at Kingarth. The 15-handicapper was
unable to play in last Saturday's third round but his excellent performance
of a few weeks ago produced a target that no-one managed to beat.
David Bryden
(9) came within three shots on 63 with Bobby Speirs (13) next on 64
and David Cameron (5), who had the best gross score of the day on 70,
one shot further behind. The competition scratch score was 64.
A big turnout
is expected tomorrow (Saturday) for the annual Captain's Day stableford
competition hosted by Ian McDougall. The usual ballot will take place
at the clubhouse at 8.30am.
The Kingarth
Trophy stableford event, postponed from earlier in the season because
of weather conditions, will now take place on Saturday, September 29.
