Did you know that Bute is the most accessible Island in Scotland? 5 minutes on a ferry to the North End of the Island or 35 minutes from Wemyss Bay. Bute Golf Club on the west side of the Island is equally accessible and look at the view from the first tee!


We wanted to let you know how golfing groups can enjoy a day trip to Bute Golf Club this Summer….

We have put together a self-book package for a great day of golf (9 holes, lunch, 9 holes)! Prices are based on 4 or 8 people sharing a taxi, with runs from Rothesay Pier to the course, to Kingarth Hotel for lunch, back to course for a 2nd 9 holes and then back to the pier. 

Of course, you are welcome to play as many holes as you wish as our Green Fees are for a day rate! Likewise, you could play all your golf first and then head for a meal at Kingarth Hotel, negating the need for one of the taxi runs.


For 4 people sharing a taxi the price, including Green Fees and a soup and sandwich/panini lunch at Kingarth Hotel is £50 per person.

For 8 people sharing a taxi the price, including Green Fees and a soup and sandwich/panini lunch at Kingarth Hotel is £43.50 per person

Ferry tickets are not included in the above figures. Return passenger tickets for the Wemyss Bay to Rothesay ferry service is currently £8.40, and for the Colintraive to Rhubodach ferry service is currently £3.20.
